Jim,

I imagined that the ANSI meeting was "lively" to say the least, as so much investment is riding on it. Does Amati risk winning the battle, yet alienating the big RBOC's (BA/NYNEX) and thus future contracts? I don't see that Amati has much choice but to fight for their position. I just hope bridges aren't burned, otherwise they may only enjoy earnings through royalties from these companies (eg. through Westell/Motorola alliance). Any opinions?
