Bob, Thanks for the really meaningful response. These are exactly the questions that have to be answered, and the specific technical questions that I don't really have the expertise to raise, that need to be answered to justify a "dig in and hold this stock at all costs" kind of approach that is advocated by the supporters of Cymer on this list. My expertise on this list is more of a broadbased general economic nature rather than deeply tech oriented, thus I try to think of what market dynamics (other than the short squeeze mantra) are at play here. I have violated the most fundamental financial law (of holding a diversified portfolio) to go deep into this stock in the hope of a big risk-reward payoff. I am now faced with the prospect of either riding out this storm or kissing $75,000 + goodbye. However nobody forced me to do this, I simply believed things I would have been better off (at this point) not to have believed. Unfortunately, many of the stock supporters brand such inquiry as dissing on the stock and aiding and abetting the short sellers if not outright engaging in the perceived shorting spree.
