Kurtzner in the WaPo is asking "why is Israel so tone deaf?" and demanding a gentler tone (as if that would have helped). Meantime the Jpost is reporting that Netanyahu says that fifty trained Islamist IHH militants boarded the Mavi Marmara at a separate port from the other "activists", and were not screened. He's not in any mood for apologies, I'm thinking.

But there seems to be big pile on on Israel from the Dem establishment, even liberal Jews. I smell a set-up. I think the dump-Israel/engage-Hamas wing of the Obama administration is trying to use this incident to force a change in Mideast policy.
