I thought you only saw swamps in Louisiana. ;-00.

Spent a little over a year in southern Missouri when I was about 10 years old. It snowed. First time I had ever seen the stuff. And, of course, we could not stop watching it. Just sat at the window and stared.

I'll never forget the impact those Virginia trees had on me. These were on the main highway between Richmond and DC. We drove that same highway this past spring, traveling to the Outer Banks. Trees looked just like trees now. A little like the time, after you've grown up, and you go back home for the first time in a long time. Everything looks so small.
