It would have a general trend up, but would have medium term (generational differences in birth rates) and short term (all sorts of different things that effect workforce participation) moves up or down.

I think at this point we are beating a dead horse. I'm not even sure how much we really disagree on the facts, and how much is spinning the facts in different directions, or how much we care about accuracy in this measurement.

In any case its not an important enough issue to be worth as many words as its getting. I may post more on it, but probably not much more, its not worth the effort.
