M - you may want to check-out VOXW - they licensed "meta-voice" to Microsoft - it's included in all Windows 95 & 98 operating systems - their stock has plunged from $8 down to .94/They have developed state-of-the-art telephony technology - BUT, cannot make any money. I am certainly not a fan of Voxware (VOXW), and any company in this niche' market must rely on royalties that decrease each year...hope this info. is helpful.....n
