Rove is not gone at all, liar. He stepped out of the spotlight because he's an indictable felon who so far has managed to stay out of prison. His stepping down as Bush's political chief freed him to be the general GOP guru and he is definitely helping to run things behind the scenes, including the recent smear campaigns against Obama and McCain, and I'm sure advising the smearvets who are still operating. Of course they were never a real vets org, just a dirty tricks operation for the Bushies and far right.
