Linda,
I'm in the same leaky boat you are, but at least so far I've been able to keep most of the holes plugged to relatively small leaks. Psychologically, it's much more difficult to make these sell decisions without having previously thought out the specific losses that would cause an exit beforehand.
I said previously "If you want to buy that stock now at it's current price, it's probably a good hold, unless serious technical violations have occurred." Let me qualify that by saying that the fact that the stock is priced favorably compared to when you bought it should not contribute to reasons for wanting to buy it now. Would you want to buy it now based on it's current fundamental and technical situation? Does it still have an attitude? Has it broken important technical support, or was it just perched way above support levels when you bought it?
If you decide to unload some of your losers, here's another observation that echoes Jim Strauss' earlier post today about the gerneral market. Often these big losers will bounce, and that's a good time to sell if you've already decided that you don't like the stocks attitude anymore. But you can't expect a bounce that would get you out at a profit, otherwise you wouldn't be wanting to sell. Look at recent chart history during the decline and try to judge what kind of bounce you might reasonably expect.
BTW, fortunately I never got involved in LUNN. But I do have MTON,CADE,SEEQ,NOIZ,CHAT,ADMG,MLOG. I've been trading in and out of MTON CADE SEEQ and NOIZ, so I'm not looking at big losses on those, but MLOG and CHAT are really hurting me.
I've rambled on longer than I meant to. Please treat these ideas for what they are: ramblings.
