Third Point Asks PDL BioPharma To Close Investigation Into CEO McDade`s Suspected Ethical And Business Breaches - Quick Facts [PDLI] 5/31/2007 2:01:40 PM PDL BioPharma, Inc. (PDLI) on Thursday said that Third Point LLC requested the company to close its investigation into chief executive officer McDade's alleged ethical violations and numerous business decisions adverse to PDL shareholders as expeditiously as possible. Third Point also again called for Chairman Gage and business development head Jeanmarie Guenot to be removed from their respective positions at PDL. The company stated that Third Point also demanded the PDL board to hire an investment bank to explore all options to benefit shareholders, including a possible sale of the company, and added well-regarded BioMarin Pharmaceutical chief executive officer Jean-Jacques Bienaime to its slate of PDL board nominees.
