4:03 (Dow Jones) Major stock averages shrug off NAPM and post substantial
gains in front of a potentially brutal jobs report Friday morning. Bond-market
goings on clearly finding way into stocks, and Microsoft report helps, but
technicians are firm in their belief that we need another test of lows. SOX
jumps 6.7%, Nasdaq Computer index gains 5%. DJIA rallies 186 to 9261, Nasdaq
Comp lifted 56 to 1746, S&P 500 climbs 24 to 1083 (preliminary), all near highs
