Don,

The first gen board that I saw which used an earlier AT24 and Voodoo Rush (aka Voodoo II) was pretty low in quality as someone has already stated earlier. The biggest failure was the 2D acceleration or lack thereof. The price wasn't that great either.

I believe the latest Intergraph offering will use a newer 128 bit part from Alliance in lieu of the AT24. I may be wrong on this.

Overclocking the chips is one way to increase performance but remember that solid drivers need to accompany it. The drivers are the key since they will most likely have to rewrite the reference drivers with different clock values, patch GDI, etc.

I agree that the VESA 2.0 not being built into the bios is a slight negative. I'm surprised they don't move to a 64k ROM to resolve this issue. The only reason I can think of would be additional delays due development and testing.

The Voodoo Rush is the proper name that I've seen used for the chip. Voodoo II seems to be another nickname given to this chip. I found it a little confusing because I originally thought that the Rush was specifically for Coin-Op Video arcade.
