Voice Mobility Signs Contract with PrexarLaunches Unified Communications
solution in US Northeast

VANCOUVER, Dec 13, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Voice Mobility
International, Inc. (OTCBB: VMII and FWB: VMY), developer of the Unified
Communications(TM) software suite, today announced a three-year agreement to
provide its product to Prexar, one of New England's fastest-growing Internet
service companies, serving nearly 20,000 customers.

Jay Hutton, Voice Mobility's Chief Executive Officer, notes that this is Voice
Mobility's first agreement with a service provider in the northeast region of
the US. "Industry analysts have forecasted that the unified messaging space will
explode over the next four years. Voice Mobility is beginning to experience the
ramp-up of this growth as we install our software with service providers in
North America and around the globe. The fact that we have an office in New York
indicates how important we feel this area will be to the growth of our Unified
Communications product in the US."

Voice Mobility's Unified Communications software suite puts control of personal
communications back in the hands of users by bringing together office, home,
cell phone, fax, pager and other numbers into a single phone number, and by
uniting multiple voice-mail boxes into one mailbox.

"Prexar differentiates itself by packaging the most innovative products with
value-added services; Voice Mobility's Unified Communications solution scores on
both counts," says Daniel J. Doiron, Prexar's President.

Prexar is a Maine corporation, affiliated with Aliant Inc., one of Canada's
leading telecommunications and IT companies. Aliant is one of Voice Mobility's
earliest partners and customers. "They have been a very valuable partner in
developing our Unified Communications products," says Mr. Hutton. "We are
extremely pleased to be able to expand our relationship with the Aliant group of
companies and look forward to growing even more with them."

Under the terms of the agreement, Voice Mobility will initially install a server
at Prexar's Bangor, Maine facility with the capacity to host approximately
10,000 mailboxes.
