BALLAD APPLIES TO ACQUIRE ADDITIONAL 900 HECTARE PROPERTY IDENTIFIED BY SATELLITE IMAGERY NEAR AREQUIPA GOLD PROJECT Ballad Enterprises Ltd is pleased to announce that it has filed an application with the Peruvian Ministry of Mines to acquire an additional 900 hectare property area adjacent to the northeast portion of its Arequipa Gold Project. The Company made the application based on its analysis of satellite imagery data which suggests the presence of a strong northwest trending clay-altered zone adjacent to the northeast corner of the property boundary. This clay-altered zone appears to be in mid-Tertiary aged intrusive rocks that are known to host several styles of gold mineralization on ground currently held under option by the Company. The northwest trend seen on the satellite images is also consistent with what is known to be the dominant regional trend seen in large-scale intrusive foliation, shear structures and veins. The Company believes the intense satellite anomaly to be an indication of a large, altered intrusive, capable of hosting prophry-style mineralization similar to Cerro Verde, a massive copper-molybdenum deposit located approximately 50 kilometres southeast of the property. Ballad's Arequipa Gold Project is located approximately 30 km northwest of the city of Arequipa in southern Peru. To date, Ballad has announced planned acquisitions and applications for interests in 13 gold mining property areas which total 9,900 hectares. Exploration continues on the Arequipa Gold Project.
