Hello John, I am submitting a newswatch that I just received Francois Plante Solomon Island drilling program planned Western Pacific Mining Exploration Inc WPC Shares issued 3,516,819 Feb 24 close $4.60 Tue 25 Feb 97 News Release An anonymous director reports Pursuant to a request by the Montreal Exchange, Western Pacific Mining would like to provide the following update on the Solomon Island exploration program. The exploration program has begun earlier this month. Vince Palma, John Dickson (Watts Griffs McOuat) and Dr St-Julien (Western Pacific) have been on site these past weeks visiting each property. They have evaluated most calderas, studied radar sat pictures and made specific recommendations for the drilling program to begin on Fauro Island. Surface sample programs will begin in a few days and will be followed immediately by the drilling program. Also, the most recent edition of The Prospector included an article on Western Pacific.
