It might be a good idea, but that doesn't mean that one of those
big companies is going to buy out RAPT. That's the problem with
investing in this company.

This gives an update on how the different firewall companies are doing. It includes the following information:

Market Share:
#1 35% Checkpoint Software
#2 8% Cisco
#2 8% Trusted Information Systems
#4 7% Raptor
#5 5% Secure Computing
#6 3% IBM

The remaining 34% is split among various other companies.

Also, the number of firewalls sold jumped 266 percent from 1995 to 1996, but growth is slowing. Firewall prices are falling dramatically.
