Preopen limit orders can be usefull if you are firm in your decision to get in. I put a limit order in Friday preopen at limit 11 1/2 and did get a partial fill at 11 1/2. I canceled the balance when it appeared NAVR wasn't going down. Interestingly Yahoo shows Fridays low at 11 15/16.
