Must be a Canadian variation on the meaning and use of "too" that I'm not familiar with.

That's why I thought he meant what I said he said. But it appears he did not mean to represent that that means what I thought he meant.

But, since he says that's not what he meant, I'm going to drop it, like a bucket of cement, and where it falls I'll let it lay, may it rest in peace, but never lie.
