Here's a synopsis from the updated II Magic 25:

The near-term outlook for Novell continues to be guarded...
the company should rebound to $0.18 and $0.22 in the
next two quarters. A consensus of 23 analysts figures
Novell can earn $0.92 next year...Both products (NT&NW)
offer similar features but purchasing decisions are often
made based on perceptions...Therefore, it is imperative
that Novell's businesses turn around and gain the momentum
needed to provide assurance to key purchasing managers...
Novell will need to continue to upgrade Netware. The most
recent upgrade...adds more features that allow network users
to seamlessly interact with the Internet and intranets. Novell
also needs to continue developing strategic relationships...
Novell's long term strategy...will not fly without the support of
key industry players such as HP. Investors should avoid
purchasing Novell shares at this time, but monitor these
developments as the company comes closer to a more
dynamic 1997.

So much for II--They recommended purchasing Novell at
17 and recommend avoiding Novell at 10. I wish all of us
could cover our tracks as neatly as II does. It's wonderful
to be able to pick a basket of stocks and then ignore the
losers and tout the winners.
