Ms. Reif-Cohen has Actv on her watch list. She was quoted in the Fortune Mag story on Actv.

The same force that is driving up advertising revenue even as audiences decline is providing the networks with what some predict will be significant benefits as soon as next year. "The incredible promotional platform represented by the networks is going to provide them with big opportunities," said Jessica Reif-Cohen, an analyst for Merrill Lynch & Co.

The networks have taken steps to exert more authority over their affiliated stations and cut costs through layoffs and tightened reins on program expenses, Ms. Reif-Cohen noted, and she predicted that "investor sentiment will swing wildly in favor of the broadcast networks this year."
