ETrade made an error in a trade I entered....the online WWW site would not execute a "boxed" position (the long side) saying I was short and could not sell the stock.... I called and they placed the trade manually. By the time the trade went through I lost 1/2 of my gains due to delay. I complained and entered a protest statement (took 2 minutes) and ETrade adjusted the final price (within 48 hours) so I got my price when I originally entered it. I have on a total of 3 occasions requested a change in an executed price due to poor execturion speed or miss-identified positions, each time getting the position adjusted in my favor....about $5k total to date. Not bad. To this day I have never gotten a trade adjusted in my favor by any other online broker I have used. I thought I would share this true story with the thread. Long EGRP.... Regards...
