Nuc, Mark Hulbert based his obversation on long positions. How about short positions?

On similar logic, I think,

In a bull market top, shorts primarily employ market timing since the odd of being wrong is very great.

In a bear market bottom, shorts become short and holders because they have grown complacent of the ease and reward of being short.

If I start talking short and hold any more than on the evil tower, watch out as that can be the signal to the end of the current bear market!
