The value of the new SI is greatly diminished. I have purchased SI membership for family members specificly for a web based e-mail which didn't purge the inbox every 30 days like hotmail. <font color=blue> 1. Effective 9/1/2004, we will no longer have MailCentro host the @siliconinvestor.com email addresses some people are using. If you are one of these people, you need to prepare for that by finding another email provider, letting your contacts know, and forwarding or otherwise copying any @siliconinvestor.com emails you don't want to lose. We don't plan to offer email hosting services at any point in the future. We're a message board, and we have Private Messaging capability. We don't need to compete with Hotmail and the like. </font> With people's internet providers changing with each new school, or job, or internet cafe the (previously) stable web-based e-mail account was the prime reason for those membership purchases and for recommendations I have made to associates. Without e-mail SI is just another chat group. TP
