I'll give apple some credit for juicing the numbers - this is at least one thing Amelio can do which Herr Spindler could not. But come on - all the evidence is that Apple stuffed their retail channel with incentives, rebates, and unlimited trips to the pasta bar. When is this going to show up - Amelio did what he was supposed to do - after he left Nat Semi - they continued to bleed - cost cutting is just a scab on the wound. the 28 million dollar profit i believe is mostly from a JE from reserves. Without it they just about broke even. Gotta give credit to the finance boys but i hope you guys are selling quick. respectfully paul
