I agree completely, Paul. I love to study and use TA, but I'm am under no illusion that it is useful beyond a mere diversion. The tonage of tomes which show empirical evidence that TA does not produce an advantage is substantial. Remember Jason, CLE could just as easily NOT broken out. Now that it has it still remains to be seen whether this is a BUY signal or a whipsaw. (You must have traded enough to have seen a whipsaw, no?) I.E. even up to this point there has been no advantage using TA on CLE short term. However, knowing the history of CLE's management and earnings would be more useful in determining the undeterminable direction of CLE. That said, I bought CLE now on technicals and will keep it later on fundamentals. Go figure... B.
