U.S. stock futures extend gains after GE outlook

NEW YORK, March 24 (Reuters) - U.S. stock futures extended earlier gains and pointed to a higher market open on Thursday after conglomerate General Electric Co. (GE.N: Quote, Profile, Research) nudged its first-quarter earnings forecast higher, while oil prices stayed below $55 a barrel.


S&P 500 futures (SPM5: Quote, Profile, Research) were up 4.6 points, above fair value accounting for interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract.
Dow Jones industrial average futures (DJM5: Quote, Profile, Research) climbed 37 points, while Nasdaq 100 (NDM5: Quote, Profile, Research) rose 7 points.
