do you realize that during and after the Soviet war, the country was wartorn - massive violence, millions of refugees, hundreds of thousands of maimed, widows and orphans.

So. That was over 20 years ago.

Nope, that continued right up to 2001. When we went in the civil war between the Taliban and Northern Alliance was still going on.

One suicide bombing impresses leftwingers who live in an America made safe by its power.

Huh? This is not the first suicide bomber in Afghanistan. Suicide bombings have been increasing over the past two years. In fact, there was a second suicide bombing in Afghan. today killing 35 people.

You should realize what a mistake that is for the Taliban. Its not a mark of success but a result of failure on the battlefield. But it is championed by those eager for American loss.

What? The most peaceful time was probably under the Taliban.

Then why were there so many refugees and an ongoing civil war?

Our satellites had no problem finding their training camps.

You mean the same spy satellites that showed Sadam allegedly trafficking in WMDs. Please excuse me if I am a bit skeptical.

Not sure what the point of that was. Are you claiming AQ didn't have training camps in Afghanistan prior to 2001?

"A bomb blast in southern Afghanistan has killed at least 35 civilians. Many people were injured, including three Nato soldiers, officials say.

The blast, apparently targeting Canadian troops in a Nato convoy, took place in Spin Boldak town in Kandahar province, near the Pakistani border.

A bomber in Kandahar city on Sunday killed more than 100 people - the country's bloodiest

Underscoring the point I made earlier. Quoting the BBC? Not exactly objective. Unfortunately.
