Al Qaida is the real terrorist threat, not Saddam. Unless he's about to be taken out then he may strike any way he can. Probably will, but probably against our troops not in the US. I doubt he'll be very successful but he might get lucky. That would be tragic and Bush would be responsible. If this disarmament had been done and prepared differently, much less risk. That's the bottomline. We could have done it without costing a single US life. How?

- Keep Saddam in box and keep disarming him
- Find the opportunity to assasinate him, even it it takes a year or two

What's the big rush anyway? Politics? Oil? Certainly not terrorist threats because we'll have more rather than less if we move unilaterally.

Fools rush in, remember. Though I do respect our military's chances of a fairly quick victory. Saddam's army is 1/3 the size it was 12 years ago and he has almost no air force.
