I dunno, perhaps dale was serious or perhaps not.

It does not matter too much. There isn't any money at stake, it's just a learning or testing experience. Over the year or two we've been here I guess we've discussed just about everything we are going to discuss, so the contest isn't a bad idea.

Of course, there is the desire to do well, but many of us just want to see how we can do....somewhat as if we were in the Validation Phases of a system.

Additionally, for my own part I have caught myself in hindsight taking trades I would never have in Real Life....just for the heck of it. So there is the Discipline aspect of it as well. I'm keenly aware that doing so is a mistake. Yet in real life...if I wasn't being careful...such a lapse in discipline could quite possibly sting.

So what I'm saying is, there are different levels to this, but the best ones are purely personal. In the long run, if dale wins or Chip wins or whoever it does not matter. What matters is what I get out of it, what dale gets, what Chip gets, and so on.....that's what I think.
