On September 26, 2001 I suggested:
ADD: Apex Silver, Franco Nevada, Gold Fields, Goldcorp, Harmony, Normandy, and Pan American
DELETE: Phelps Dodge
(suggested Franco Nevada and Normandy, but did not expect anything since they were not US-listed)
On November 8, 2001 they added Apex Silver, Goldcorp, Harmony, and removed Phelps Dodge.
(4 out of 7, or 4 out of the 5 US-listed ideas)
They eventually (7/1/2002) got around to adding Gold Fields
Franco Nevada and Normandy effectively were added when Newmont acquired them,
leaving only Pan American as the only one not included (yet?)
Current most logical additions ? Kinross, Glamis, IAMGOLD .... ?
