Great post - I agree 100%! The more people (professional or amateurs) profess to know what the future holds, the less likely I am to listen to what they have to say. The truth is that no one has a "crystal ball" to investing. Predicting short-term moves in the market is usually non-productive. I am not saying that it is impossible to make money this way, only improbable. In my opinion, the best strategy is to invest for the long-term in undervalued, solid companies. Intel is an example of the type of growth company that consistently produces solid results year after year. To purchase Intel at a discounted price is a gift and once you buy it, hold on for the long-term.
