Digital TV Industry Summit Live Webcast On CNBC Web Site
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 11, 1998--A national summit featuring executives from broadcast, cable and satellite television will be held on Nov. 16 with government and set manufacturing leaders.

''The Dawn of Digital'' summit meeting, to focus on prospects for the digital TV transition, will be broadcast live on the Internet from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET over CNBC's Web site at cnbcdowjones.com.

FCC Chairman William Kennard will make opening remarks. The event is chaired by Richard Wiley, former FCC chairman and head of its Advisory Committee on Advanced Television Service.

About 35 industry leaders will participate from the following organizations: FCC, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NCTA, NAB, CEMA, ASTC, Belo Corp., Capitol Broadcasting, Chyron, DirecTV, Dow Stereo Video, Harris Communications, Kodak, MSTV, Panasonic Technology, Runco, Sarnoff, Tektronix and others.
