Its a pretty simple statement.

It's pretty shocking statement...47M people in the country have no health insurance, and therefore no health care, until a crisis takes place, in which case they visit your local emergency room, which by the way is not free, since you and I are already paying for that.

Its a separate topic. If the money spent is foolish, it still doesn't justify or support spending money in some other way. Good, bad, or indifferent Iraq has just about nothing to do with the issue we are discussing.

It is not a separate topic. You and I are already paying for the uninsured. This is a pretty good article to sum it up. It's time to take care of problems at home.

Not according to mccain's 100 year iraq war...in any case, think nk, europe, and every other corner of the globe where we are engaged in expensive "temporary things".
