Increased functionality at the processor and motherboard level have been a fact of life since the first PC. The higher densities that allow mother- and cpu-integration also open new possibilities in the slots. People continue to predict that there'll be nothing left to add. I for one don't buy this. Anyone who does shouldn't own DIMD or any add-on company. The rest of your post has really a fairly involved speculation -- I don't know how plausible it is. I think its fair to say that inability to ship doesn't help a company's standing with the channel. However, DIMD has very good distribution relationships, honors its price protection commitments, etc. Whether or not it'll hurt us this qtr we'll just have to see. In any case, the CompUSAs of the world are not adding vendors at this time of year. However, the biz might simply go to USRobotics/3Com by default if DIMD's products are not on the shelf.
