ReplayTV better be agile.....
Marc Andreessen, co-founder of Netscape, is investing in Replay Networks, a startup with a home disk recorder aimed at replacing VCRs. Among competitors is Hitachi, whose Home Multimedia Station is a DVD-RAM-based server to be available next fall at $1,300, including a satellite receiver, Internet access, video editing, and DVD/DVD-ROM/CD/CD-ROM playback.
See earlier post of JR for more detail, but it didn't mention a price. Has a codec, SH4/5 CPU, Window's CE. A lot of cool things are going to be done and not all of it will say INTC inside.
