Something is really wrong here. How can a european company compete when their currency is 1.5 times the dollar?

Something is really wrong at Boeing. Either the US government has put too much of a tax burden on them (US has highest corp. tax rate in the world), their medical and pension plans are overburdening them or expenses/taxes are just too high in Washington state.

But you probably never thought about it that way. Too easy to blame it all on Bush.

Boeing's bid is competitive.......the airforce is claiming they like the larger Airbus planes. Airbus have always been larger.....there has been no secret when it comes to that issue. Why persist in getting their bid? Frankly, I think its more political than financial. Why? The governor of ALA is one of the best GOP governors in this country. He is working very hard to turn ALA around.....and the party is trying to help him. In addition, its a way of getting some Airbus facilities in this country.

Assume that I am correct.....is it a reasonable gesture given the amount of dollars involved? I don't think so.

But you probably never thought about it that way. Too easy to blame it all on Bush.

I blame Bush because the country is not running right. Anyone can see that......and you can too. He's lost control and people in DC are doing what they want to do whether its for the good of the country or not. Hell, we are building a billion dollar embassy in Baghdad in a country where the labor costs are probably 1/20th of the US. That's pure insanity.

My biggest concern about Obama is taxes.

He's a paygo Dem. Having said that, the tax cuts will be allowed to expire. This country is in a huge financial mess. Tax cuts never made sense when you are starting two wars.

You better get used to it.....we will be experiencing a lot of pain thanks to Bush.
