Ya know in Clinton's latest quest to create as many Democrats as he can he is now about to give "Amnesty" to about 5 million illegal immigrants.

John, Greenspan said in the Humphrey Hawkins speech that he felt we didn't have enough workers to support the robust economy in the US. I happen to agree with this, especially in Ca, where virtually every service level (low paying) business is hurting for employees. Try to get your car serviced or shoe repair or dry cleaning in California - forget it! There are simply not enough workers.

It is simply arrogant to claim that all of these immigrants are democrats - whats your point? I think, what you are trying to say is, that these would be lower income people and thus prone to vote for the party of big government (Dems) right? Well, thats what Buchanan said once on McLaughlin anyway - and I beg to differ. The entire IT dept at a majority of high tech companies out here is staffed with foreigners and some companies (such as amat) are known to staff up their engr with non-us workers as well. They do this to save money, and while I take issue with this practice the fact is that there are not enough tech workers so the salaries remain high irrespective of the import of all these workers. Of course these people probably will lean towards the Dems, but not for the reason the republicans think. They will vote Democratic because they think the republicans are white male racists from another era in this country.
