While there may be individuals that believe the add-on market is headed for extinction, I have never been one of them. Two things seem pretty clear, however:

1.) Shorter life cycles tend to suggest reduced sales volumes for companies that deal in add-on circuit boards for older machines.

2.) Schroeder's "gross margin compression" excuse has become increasingly commonplace in Diamond's quarterly updates.
