"Of course, the gist of what you wrote above was to downplay the severity of what was done." No it wasn't. There are two issues. One is the serious breach of privacy. The other is appointing incompetents to high position. I grant you the guy was incompetent. But, you can't equate that position with the ones I was talking about. "Where were the lawyers now suing the phone companies?" Beats me. Why not ask them?
