On the other hand I have heard the opposite because of the belief that the dissent is caused by the tone and lack of empathy on a federal level......of course protest and demonstrations need large amounts of people and areas and you find them in cities.......cities just happen to vote democratic. You just don't find many cities that vote republican. That be said DeBlasio (mayor of nyc) was and is an incompetent mayor before and during all this......just because he's a democrat doesn't give him a PASS from me.......everyone stands on their own merit with me republican and democrat. Most of the hard right people i know just pull the lever under R without any thought or knowledge of the candidate......and then feel the need to back that candidate thru any scandal at all to justify their decision, instead of saying damn I was wrong.....like I felt after voting for BUSH JR.
