The derivatives market has grown from 50 to 516 BILLION dollars of highly leveraged paper under the complete lack of oversight by the Bush admin. I doubt anyone knows where it all is or what it all is.

I read somewhere that the entire financial system is 5 times as complex now as it was just 10 years ago. And that nobody really understands it as a whole. Which makes you wonder how fragile it really is.
