How come oil is over $100 but oil stocks act like they are in a depression:

My guess. Oil stocks have already run up a lot, and the market doesn't see as much further growth in oil prices from here, partially because of a slowdown in economic growth.


I also think there is a lot of speculative money in crude [see the article Chris posted right before yours] that has caused crude to get ahead of itself.
