*Fargo Electronics Inc., Eden Prairie, has received a U.S.
patent for its identification code for color thermal print ribbon.
Fargo makes desktop systems that personalize and encode
plastic identification cards.

*Visionics Corp., Minnetonka, has received orders for nine
FingerPrinter CMS live scan systems for seven airports:
Albuquerque, N.M.; Burbank, Calif.; Cincinnati; Dallas Love
Field; Harlingen, Texas; Knoxville, Tenn.; Wichita, Kan. The
total value of the orders including maintenance is about
$350,000.

*Active IQ Technologies Inc., Minnetonka, has signed an
worldwide license agreement with Stellent Inc., Eden Prairie,
to embed Stellent Content Management software in its vertical
market products.

*Ecolab Inc., St. Paul, said it purchased Audits International, a
Chicago-based provider of food safety audits and food retail
quality evaluations. Audits International has annual sales of
about $3 million.
