A friend who is a contractor and does a lot of jobs for the city told me he heard the Sierra Club threatened to sue the EPA over the recently passed lead abatement law. EPA was dragging their feet on it, apparently some in the agency have a little sense. It was the threat of suit that finally made them move. If that is true, extremist elements in the environmental movement are calling the shots now.
