Betty - In last Saturdays' Barons there was no indications of a short interest in NCI at all or JMAR for that matter. With the company closed until Jan 6, 1997, anything can happen. Lot of volumen and no movement per se. MM playing catch with each other with the stock is my guess. I do not expect a January effect in NCI anyway. Have a Happy New Year and be safe. Jim
