Examples would be IGRP and EIGRP which are closed routing protocols Au contraire, mon ami. Those routing protocols are publically available and anyone can choose to implement them. If I understand correctly, the development of those routing protocols far preceeded the development of any standard routing protocols, in the RFC or CCCIT/ITU sense. Is Nortel going to develop some new things along this same line and open them up ??
