Based on strength in the computer sector yesterday and the overall market strength going into the open, a gap looked like a lock.

I was right, and it gapped open at 35 1/2.

However, I didn't count on the market turning yet another about-face.

Even though Apple's getting carried down with it, I'm actually in favor of the market going down a bit right now. As others have stated, I want to see a wash out of selling pressure so we can get back to a bit of normalcy.

I will predict, however, that those looking for a crash will be disappointed. I agree with thestreet.com's James Cramer who states that we're simply in a trading range right now, heading to the lower end of it.
