WASHINGTON, Oct 14 (Reuters) - The Treasury Department said it has delayed its 2008 fiscal year-end budget data statement until 4 p.m. (2000 GMT) on Tuesday from 2 p.m.

The Congressional Budget Office has said it expects the data to show the U.S. federal budget deficit for the year ended Sept. 30 rising to an all-time high of $438 billion, up sharply from $162 billion the prior year. (Reporting by David Lawder; Editing by James Dalgleish)
