There's nothing wrong with John Rosenthal, pajamasmedia, or the story I posted. Pretty cheeky of you to complain over the name "pajamasmedia" anyway when you post stuff from the World Socialist "Fourth International" and a propagandist for the Khmer Rouge while they were committing genocide.

Rosenthal writes for World Politics Review:

As the piece I posted showed, the following isn't true:

Both German investigators, and United States Army investigators failed to find any evidence of a tie between Kurnaz and Al-Qaeda or any involvement in any terrorist activities.

Kurnaz's ticket to Pakistan was paid for by a man with ties to the Hamburg AQ cell which was involved in the 911 attack. And he was to travel there with Bilgin, a recruiter for AQ and the Taliban.

Whether Bilgin was personally inmplicited in a bombing or not isn't relevant. He was a recruiter and was supposed to accompany Kurnaz to Afghanistan and his ticket was paid for by the same guy.

Bilgin was arrested at the airport and thus prevented from embarking on his voyage with Kurnaz. Later, in 2003, the police determined that he was continuing to try to recruit young, inexperienced Muslims for Jihad at the Abu-Bakr Mosque. Thus Ali T., who on April 25, 2003 hijacked a bus in Bremen, stated to the police that Bilgin had awakened in him the desire to become a Mujahideen through conversations and prayers and by showing him propaganda videos. According to Ali T., Bilgin promised that he would have him trained as a fighter in Pakistan or Afghanistan, just as he had done in the past with Murat Kurnaz. The training, Bilgin is reported to have said, would be financed by Al-Qaeda.
