Rush Limbaugh, no matter what else he may or may not be, was a breath of fresh air arising from a significantly otherwise dead AM radio medium. The regular appearance of a right wing viewpoint on a nationally syndicated program on ANY medium was so unheard of and surprising, that the likes of me literally jumped for joy at the realization that he was for real. Only William F. Buckley's little watched PBS show Firing Line offered anything remotely similar(and his audience was small as a result of his vocabulary more than anything else, I should think). When I heard Rush I COULDN'T BELIEVE I was listening to someone offering a right wing point of view on air(it simply was an incredibly rare thing to hear back when he got started, and THIS was a true disparity). Now, I get to hear the views of the right, which held fast despite the lack of proper representation in the media for decades, all the day long. I never would have believed it could happen! It is only fair, of course, finally.

A Libertarian wrote a book called "The last Democrat" in reference to Bill Clinton. It was written before the '96 election, but may yet be right. Clinton may in fact be the last Democratic President, ever! Hey, I can dream sweet dreams.
