Sony Holds Open House

culver city, ca--For Sony Pictures Entertainment's Digital Studios there was no better time than now to publicize its "Digital Reality Day" open house.

Admittedly, most stations' 1998 spending focus was on the requisite antennas and transmitters for DTV's debut, conceded Larry J. Thorpe, vice president of Sony's Acquisition Systems for business and pros. But, he grinned, "1999 is when production will pick up for all of us."
